Days 1-2: Athens
The historical capital of Europe, birthplace of democracy, arts, science and philosophy of western civilization. Whether you're a foodie, Greek mythology buff, or architecture lover, there's an Athens private adventure perfect for you. How about hearing the myths about the gods of Greece from professional storytellers as you taste authentic Greek items at stops along the way?
Day 1: Arrival Athens
Meet and Greet at the Air Bridge and transfer to the passports control and luggage collection. You will be accompanied to the arrival’s hall where your driver will be waiting, holding a sign with your name for easy identification. A licensed guide will be with you on the way to Athens’ center and your hotel, for an immersive introduction to the town you are about to visit. The city is full of culture, history, and landmarks that you will admire during your drive to the center of Athens! Sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey as your guide provides fascinating insights into each site.
You will pass by:
• The National Gallery, Greece’s premier art museum, showcasing a rich collection of Greek and European art.
• The Panathenaic Stadium, the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble, also known as Kallimarmaro. This historic stadium hosted the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. It was originally built in the 4th century BCE for the Panathenaic Games.
• The Temple of Olympian Zeus, one of the largest ancient temples in Greece, originally designed to be the greatest temple in the ancient world. The temple once housed a giant statue of Zeus, and 15 of its original 104 columns still stand today.
• The National Gardens, a peaceful 38-acre park in the heart of Athens. Commissioned by Queen Amalia in the 19th century, the gardens feature a variety of plants, trees, and flowers, along with ancient ruins, statues, and a small zoo.
• Syntagma Square, the central square of Athens and the location of the Greek Parliament, where the change of guards takes place every hour.
• Panepistimiou Street, one of the main avenues in Athens, known for its significant neoclassical buildings. As you drive down this historic street, you'll see:
• The Academy of Athens: Founded in 1926, it is the country's leading research institution and a striking example of neoclassical architecture.
• The University of Athens: Established in 1837, it is Greece’s oldest university, with a beautiful neoclassical facade.
• The National Library of Greece: Founded in 1832, it holds a vast collection of Greek manuscripts and printed books, housed in an elegant neoclassical building.
Day 2: Athens
After a rich breakfast at the terrace, you will meet your guide in the hotel’s lobby who will lead you on an enriching walk-through Athens' historical center. Stroll through the vibrant streets of Athens, taking in the rich history that surrounds you. As you make your way to the Acropolis Museum, you will watch the change of guards and your guide will share fascinating stories and insights about the city’s past and present.
The Acropolis Museum is renowned for its modern architecture and extensive collection, the museum houses artifacts from the Acropolis site, offering a deep dive into ancient Greek civilization. Admire the metopes, frieze, and pediments of the Parthenon, displayed with breathtaking views of the Acropolis through the glass walls. See the original Caryatids from the Erechtheion, beautifully preserved and displayed. Don’t miss the panoramic views of the Acropolis and the surrounding city from the museum’s top floor, providing a unique perspective on the ancient ruins. After the museum, your guide can suggest a few excellent lunch spots nearby to enjoy a Greek meal before returning to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will be picked up for your visit to the Acropolis, to avoid the morning crowds from the cruise ships.

Day 3: Paros
Today, after a delightful breakfast, your driver will take you to the airport for a short 40-minute flight to the enchanting island of Paros. You will arrive just in time for a leisurely walk and lunch in Prodromos, one of the most picturesque villages in the Aegean. The serene ambiance and stunning beauty of Prodromos will immediately immerse you in the island's soothing vibes. Paros, known for its elegance and simplicity, is the perfect place to begin your journey of relaxation and unwinding.
