Days 1-2: Athens
The historical capital of Europe, birthplace of democracy, arts, science and philosophy of western civilization. Whether you're a foodie, Greek mythology buff, or architecture lover, there's an Athens private adventure perfect for you. How about hearing the myths about the gods of Greece from professional storytellers as you taste authentic Greek items at stops along the way?
Day 1: Athens
Meet and Greet at the arrivals hall, after you have passed the passport control and picked up your luggage. Your private driver will transfer you to your accommodation, located in the heart of the city at the Fresh Hotel.
Named after the warrior goddess Athena, Athens is one of the oldest cities in Europe, with a rich and vibrant history.
The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Explore the charms of Athens, where numerous attractions and historical sites await your discovery. Stroll through the National Garden for a relaxing walk, witness the changing of the guards in front of the parliament, which takes place every hour, and before returning to your hotel, enjoy a drink at one of the terraces under the moonlit Acropolis Hill.
Day 2: Athens
After a rich breakfast, you will meet your guide in the hotel’s lobby who will lead you on an enriching walk-through Athens' historical center. Stroll through the vibrant streets of Athens, taking in the rich history that surrounds you.
You will visit the Acropolis with its iconic sites such as the Parthenon, Theater of Dionysus, Temple of Athena Nike, Temple of Erechtheion, and the Sanctuary of Asclepius. You will also have the chance to stroll around Athens’ most picturesque neighborhood, Plaka. With the engaging guide by your side, you will not only visit major landmarks and listen to the captivating myths that surround each site, but you will also hear tales that blend myth, legend, and historical fact, gaining valuable insight into the culture of both modern and ancient Greece.
After the tour, your guide can suggest a few excellent lunch spots nearby to enjoy a Greek meal before returning to your hotel.
The Acropolis is Athens’ most iconic landmark, standing since the fifth century BC, and is a testament to the grandeur of ancient Greece. The Parthenon, the centerpiece of the Acropolis, is a majestic temple dedicated to Athena. From the hill you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city.

Days 3-5: Kardamyli
Set theatrically against a colorful backdrop of aquamarine waters, majestic cypresses, wild olive groves, verdant rolling hills and distant snow-capped mountains, it is one of the prettiest of villages that look out on to the calm seas and spectacular sunsets of the Messinian Gulf.
Day 3: Kardamyli
Today, after breakfast, you will meet your driver who will take you to Kardamyli. The drive is approximately 3.5 hours. On the way, you will see the spectacular landscape of the Peloponnese, including lush olive groves, rugged mountains, and charming villages dotting the countryside. You’ll pass through scenic routes where the natural beauty of Greece unfolds at every turn.
Before reaching your destination, you will stop at Kalamata. Known for its famous olives and rich history, Kalamata is a vibrant city that perfectly blends the old and the new. Embark on a culinary journey through Kalamata's historical center, where you'll experience Greek cuisine like a local by visiting selected traditional family stores. As you stroll through the city's charming, non-touristic areas, you'll meet passionate local artisans and shop owners who will share their stories and the secrets behind their food. Taste a variety of traditional and regional delicacies, from freshly baked bread and local cheeses to olives, honey, and pastries, while learning about the evolution of Greek food culture over the centuries. Your culinary exploration culminates with a light lunch at a cozy, family-run taverna, providing a perfect end to this immersive gastronomic adventure.
After lunch, you will depart for your destination, Kardamyli. The evening is at leisure to relax and enjoy dinner near the sea or enjoy the amenities of your accommodation.
Day 4: Kardamyli
After a leisurely breakfast, you stroll down to the small port to set sail. A comfortable and well-equipped boat awaits, promising a day filled with adventure. As you set off, the early morning sun casts a gentle glow over the rugged Mani coastline, revealing a blend of rocky cliffs, secluded coves, and crystal-clear waters. The sight of Kardamyli from the water is particularly enchanting, with its traditional stone houses, Byzantine churches, and the majestic Taygetus Mountains forming a breathtaking backdrop. Soon, the boat makes its first stop at Foneas Beach, a hidden gem known for its clear waters and striking rock formations. Here, you dive into the refreshing sea for a swim or explore the underwater world with your snorkel, admiring the vibrant marine life.
As you sail, there are several opportunities to stop at pristine swimming spots. The turquoise waters are perfect for a refreshing dip or snorkeling, providing glimpses of colorful fish and intriguing rock formations.
Midway through, you stop at the picturesque village of Limeni for lunch. Nestled by the sea, Limeni is renowned for its beautiful stone buildings and serene waters. You disembark and head to a charming seaside taverna, where you indulge in a delightful meal of fresh seafood, local specialties, and perhaps a glass of ouzo. The relaxing atmosphere and stunning views make for a perfect lunchtime retreat. Back on the boat, relax and soak in the breathtaking views, feeling the gentle sea breeze on your face. As your adventure draws to a close, the boat heads back to Kardamyli. Returning to the port, you carry with you the memories of a perfect day spent exploring the enchanting Mani coast.
Day 5: Kardamyli
Wake up in the morning and embark on a journey through the stunning scenery of Messenia, offering a unique blend of history, culture, and gastronomy, and allowing you to delve deep into the myths, traditions, and secrets of the area.
Your first stop is the Ancient City of Messini. Upon arrival, a licensed guide leads you on a fascinating tour through this significant archaeological site. Walk the same paths once tread by Epaminondas, the famed General from Ancient Thiva who founded the city. Learn about the city’s foundation, its rich history, and the ever-changing dynamics of its rulers. Your activities include entrance fees to the site and a visit to the spectacular modern museum, where incredible exhibits bring the past to life.
Following your exploration of Ancient Messini, continue your journey to a century-old olive press factory. Participate in an olive oil tasting workshop where an experienced taster, a member of a certified olive oil panel, introduces you to four different extra virgin olive oils. Learn to appreciate the nuances and qualities that make each oil unique. Today's activity culminates with a delightful food tasting experience. Savor Greek Mezedes, a variety of small dishes, expertly paired with the olive oils you’ve just sampled. This food pairing session provides a perfect conclusion to your immersive day, allowing you to fully appreciate the flavors and culinary traditions of the region.
Kardamyli Accommodations: Diapori Suites
Diapori Suites was born out of a desire to create an exceptional lodging – a hideaway that inspires a sense of tranquility, with high-quality facilities and services – all with an aura of relaxed luxury. Nestled above the fishing harbor of Kardamyli in a spectacular natural setting overlooking the vast expanse of the azure, the name of the hotel derives from its location. “Diapori”, means “a narrow waterway,” in Greek, and in this case refers to the tiny channel that separates the little peninsula where the hotel stands from the islet Meropi, a landmark for Kardamyli. Thoughtfully designed, and built from the local stone, the hotel is completely integrated with the natural environment. Its design embraces a modern minimalism combined with elements of the local Maniot architecture as well as austere monastic features.
Days 6-8: Nafplio
One of the most beautiful towns in Argolis (in eastern Peloponnese) as well as one of the most romantic cities all over Greece, Nafplio was the first capital of the newly born Greek state between 1823 and 1834. According to mythology, the town was founded by Nafplios, the son of god Poseidon and the daughter of Danaus (Danaida) Anymone.
Day 6: Nafplio
Today, set off from the village of Kardamyli towards the historic town of Nafplio. Your adventure begins with a scenic drive through the picturesque landscapes of the Peloponnese, heading towards one of the region's most renowned wineries. Enjoy a guided tour of the vineyard and cellars, learning about the production process and the unique characteristics of the Nemean wines.
After, indulge in a wine tasting session, sampling some of the estate's finest wines. Paired with a delectable lunch, this experience offers a perfect blend of flavors, showcasing local culinary traditions and the exquisite wines of the region. After lunch, make your way to Nafplio, a town steeped in history and charm to check in and relax at your hotel’s premises.
In the afternoon, you'll be guided on a private walk, exploring the town's enchanting streets, historic sites, and hidden gems. As you wander through Nafplio, enjoy treats along the way, sampling local delicacies and sweets that add a delightful touch to your exploration. Before returning to your hotel, enjoy a traditional dinner at leisure, in one of the best restaurants in town. Savor the rich flavors of Greek cuisine, made from fresh, local ingredients, in a welcoming and authentic setting.
Day 7: Epidaurus
Join an unforgettable day trip from Nafplio to the ancient city of Epidaurus, renowned for its stunning ancient theater and rich history. Experience the perfect blend of culture, history, and relaxation with a guided tour of the archaeological site followed by a delicious lunch by the sea.
Your journey begins from Nafplio, offering scenic views of the Peloponnesian landscape as you travel to Epidaurus. Upon arrival, join a knowledgeable guide as you explore the Epidaurus archaeological site, home to one of the best-preserved ancient theaters in Greece. Learn about the history and significance of this UNESCO World Heritage Site as you explore the ancient theater, famous for its exceptional acoustics and capacity of 14,000 spectators. Visit the Sanctuary of Asclepius, the god of medicine, and discover the ancient healing practices that took place here. Stroll through the archaeological museum, which houses artifacts uncovered from the site, providing a deeper understanding of ancient Greek culture and daily life.
After, head to a charming seaside taverna where you can savor a delicious Greek lunch at leisure and enjoy the stunning views of the Saronic Gulf while dining al fresco. Take some time to unwind by the sea and capture beautiful photos of the picturesque scenery before your return trip to Nafplio in the early afternoon.

Day 8: Nafplio
On the final day in Nafplio, you will embark on a coastal hiking trail that offers stunning views of the blue waters of the Argolic Gulf on one side and the historic fortresses of Akronafplia on the other. This hike provides a unique opportunity to experience the diverse beauty of Greek landscapes and delve into the rich tapestry of Greek history while admiring the natural wealth that Greece has to offer.
At the end of the hike, your guide will take you back to the hotel to rest before your afternoon cooking adventure!
You will enter the sanctuaries of Greek cuisine, where you will learn to prepare traditional Greek recipes. Under the mentorship of an experienced local Chef, you will master the art of Greek cooking, utilizing pure and fresh ingredients sourced from the fertile Peloponnesian land. This exquisite piece of paradise in the middle of the Aegean Sea, surrounded by crystal clear blue waters is a peaceful sanctuary where time stands still.
Day 9: Naxos
In the morning, indulge in your final breakfast, before embarking on your next adventure. Depart from Nafplio and head to Athens Airport for a short flight to Naxos. Upon arrival, settle into the boutique Crystal Mare Hotel. Take some time to relax either at the hotel or at a nearby cafe, soaking in the atmosphere of Naxos.
In the evening, you will join a captivating mythology walk through Naxos Town. Begin at the South Gate (Paraporti) of the Venetian castle, where you'll wander through picturesque alleys adorned with vibrant flowers and medieval architecture. Pass by the Ursuline nuns' Cloister and School and pause at the "1739" café on the terrace of the Ursuline dormitories for breathtaking views of Naxos town.
Continue your journey to the Catholic Cathedral and exit through the East Gate, navigating charming narrow alleys until you reach the North Gate (Trani Porta). Follow the paths to the bustling port of Naxos, where you'll explore the Old Marketplace filled with souvenir and art shops, perfect for memorable photos. Along the seafront, enjoy a taste of Citron liqueur, a unique local drink. Conclude your evening at the iconic Portara, a grand marble gate, and witness a stunning Naxian sunset. You will taste some of the best local delicacies such as Naxian cheese and wine, immersing yourself fully in Naxian history and culture.
Day 10: Naxos
On this day, you will participate in an enriching journey through the cultural and historical gems of Naxos Island.
You'll begin at Demeter’s Temple, a recently restored ancient marvel dating back to 530 BC. From there, you'll venture into the heart of Tragea Valley to explore Damalas, a quaint village renowned for its traditional pottery workshop and historic olive press. Continue to Chalki, a neoclassical village where you can wander through picturesque alleys and visit a traditional citron distillery/museum, soaking in the village's timeless charm over a traditional Greek coffee. The journey then takes you to Panagia Drossiani, the oldest church in the Balkan Peninsula, dating from the 4th century AD. Afterwards, explore Apiranthos, known as the "marble village," where you can stroll along marble-cobbled streets and capture memorable photos. Heading north, you'll reach Apollonas village, a small typical Cycladic village, ideal for swimming or just relaxing at the various cafes by the sea.
On your way back, marvel at the monumental Kouros statue, a testament to Naxos's ancient craftsmanship. Conclude your day's journey in Chora, reflecting on the rich history and cultural tapestry of Naxos Island.
Day 11: Naxos
On your final day in Naxos, indulge in a day of leisure, embracing the island's relaxed pace and natural beauty. Venture to one of Naxos's pristine beaches. Agios Prokopios and Plaka offer soft sands and crystal-clear waters perfect for sunbathing and swimming. Alternatively, Agios Georgios Beach near Chora provides a convenient option for a refreshing dip.
Discover Naxos' cultural heritage with a visit to local museums and historical sites. Today, you will embark on a trip from Naxos to Chania, Crete. You will be transferred to Naxos airport for your flight to Chania with a short stopover to Athens. Upon arrival, a driver will greet you and transport you to the enchanting city of Chania.
The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. Take a leisurely stroll to the nearby Venetian Harbor, a picturesque waterfront lined with charming cafes and bars. Enjoy a refreshing drink by the port, watching the boats sway gently and absorbing the historic charm of Chania. As the sun sets, the city's Old Town comes alive with its narrow alleys, bustling markets, and vibrant nightlife. Explore the local shops, dine at a traditional taverna, or simply revel in the enchanting atmosphere of one of Crete's most captivating cities.
Day 13: Apokoronas
Explore the unique area of Apokoronas, the eastern province of the Chania region, and discover the authentic heart of the Cretan mainland.
Today is designed to immerse you in the island's rich history, culture, and traditions by exploring charming villages, engaging with friendly locals, and savoring delicious local products. Following a scenic route through verdant landscapes and traditional Cretan villages, your first stop will be at a quaint local “kafeneio” in a picturesque village. Here, you will enjoy a traditional Greek coffee while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere and vibrant local life.
Next, delve into the art of Cretan cheese-making. Visit a local cheese factory where you'll witness the fascinating process and sample a variety of exquisite cheeses such as “Graviera,” “Mizithra,” and “Anthotiros.” The rich flavors and textures of these cheeses offer a true taste of Crete's culinary heritage.

Day 15: Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to Chania airport for your short flight to Athens’ airport to board your flight back home.
